In Hong Kong we are firmly committed to being a great global citizen, which involves delivering on one of our core values of having the “courage to do the right thing” in everything we do. To live up to this value, the Hong Kong Office has in the recent past supported many non-profit communications campaigns for organizations such as the Hong Kong International Literary Festival, Redress (an environmental NGO working to reduce waste in the fashion industry) and the City Mental Health Alliance (a member based not for profit aiming to build mentally health workplaces). Moreover internally, we are committed to encouraging employee partnership across multiple citizenship areas spanning the environment, good mental wellness and volunteering in the local community.

our global citizenship

In Asia, our regional Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI) Network focuses on gender equality, workplace diversity and inclusion to ensure that employees from all backgrounds can enjoy equal opportunities to grow, lead and succeed at Edelman.

This is reflected in Hong Kong, where through our #BetterTogether strategy we take great pride in our collaborative efforts to deliver a truly diverse and inclusive workplace. Case in point, our flexible working policies help empower working moms (and dads!). We also help support and mentor our future female leaders through ongoing participation in third party initiatives such as the Financial Times Women in Business Group and The Women’s Foundation (TWF) Mentoring Program. Both our senior male and female leaders are also active members of the Male Allies program, a TWF initiative which brings together business leaders who can leverage their collective influence and personal engagement to advance gender equality within their organization and across the Hong Kong business community.
